We BelieveExperimenting and sharing is the best way run an organization. All of the successes and failures from experiments in the schechterTech innovations blog are freely available to everyone. Learning by doing while utilizing collaboration and community knowledge results in the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Entrepreneurship fits inside every organization and should be fostered. Our innovations and experiments aim to spark your own innovative approach to business. About schechterTechSchechterTech, LLC is a Boston, MA based company committed to building the best hardware and web-based software products possible. We specialize in providing innovation strategy, consulting, and turn-key product design to entrepreneurs, start-ups and Micro-ISVs throughout the world. Formed in 2005 by Harry Schechter, SchechterTech produced it's first product, Temperature@lert, to monitor server room environmental conditions. Thousands of companies around the globe depend on the reliable hardware and software design of Temperature@lert every day. In 2006, we announced our second product, Wajadoo. Wajadoo makes it easy to manage and monitor your IT systems for changes regardless of location or configuration. Version 1.0 is currently in development and will be released to the public early in the second quarter of 2008. Harry Schechter - Chief Innovation Officer
After selling Doceus in 2005, Harry joined forces with inventor Scott MacLean at Time Trax Technologies Corporation, manufacturer of satellite radio-to-MP3 recording products. Most recently, Harry served as Senior Vice-President of Technology Management for Anybill Financial Services where he led the strategic technology vision for systems that support big 4 accounting firms. Harry's technology leadership and sense of adventure are rounded out by travels to over 30 countries on five continents. Several of his semi-professional photographs have been published in National Geographic Traveler Magazine. He's jumped out of a perfectly good airplane (twice), been nominated for a GRAMMY as part of the Washington Men's Camerata, raced up the Nile River, Karaoked in Shenzhen, China, and zip lined 200 feet above the rainforest floor in Costa Rica. A regular volunteer with local area non-profits, Harry's companies have received awards from Washington Business Journal and recognition in the Washington Post for outstanding community service. By the same token, Harry believes in preserving the planet. His innovative electronics reclamation program for Temperature@lert has already saved countless contaminants from ending up in our soil and water supply. Harry is a regular volunteer at Greater DC Cares, a member of the Chief Technology Officer's Roundtable and sings in the bass section of the Washington Men's Camerata where he serves as the group's Fundraising Chair. Harry received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science from Miami University in Oxford, OH and is currently an MIT Sloan Fellow. |
